First revelation about LG’s folding screen smartphone

LG’s folding screen smartphone will soon be shipped with a design quite similar to Samsung Galaxy Fold.

According to 91mobiles, LG is also preparing to launch its first foldable smartphone.

LG’s patent on the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website has revealed the design of its first folding screen smartphone.

The foldable phone has a dual screen, including a large screen the size of a tablet when opened, and a screen like a normal smartphone when folded.

The screen border is quite thick and rounded 4 corners. The folding method of LG smartphone is quite similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold with the hinge in the middle.

The screen does not have a “notch” or hole, the dual camera is located on the back, arranged vertically along with the LED flash.
The right side of the device has a volume rocker and a power button. The selfie camera and other sensors are arranged on the top edge of the main screen. The bottom edge has a USB Type-C port.

However, it is not clear how the selfie camera and machine are equipped with fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio port or not.

Although little is known, LG’s foldable smartphone may be a flagship of the company, with leading technology features. It can compete with rivals like Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.

LG’s folding smartphone is likely to be launched early next year at MWC 2020.
